Deadline for Submissions: March 10, 2021

The Journal of Constitutional Law in the Middle East and North Africa (JCL- MENA) is a double-blind peer reviewed journal published by the Arab Association of Constitutional Law (AACL) in association with the Rule of Law Programme Middle East/North Africa of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.

The Journal is a venue for scholarly analysis on issues related to constitutions and constitutional law throughout the MENA region. JCL- MENA is dedicated to encourage greater discussion and critical analysis of constitutional and legal developments in the MENA region. Featuring articles by legal scholars and practitioners from the region, it facilitates access to information on regional constitutional issues and debates for the global community of practitioners and scholars.

We are pleased to invite submissions for the second edition of JCL-MENA, which will be published in June 2021. Papers should be in English on themes related to constitutional law and constitutional legal developments in the MENA region.

We would be interested in submissions covering the following non-exhaustive list of questions in the MENA region:

- States of Emergency, constitutions and constitutional rights
